What is Chiropractic? Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculo-skeletal system (soft tissue/bones/joints), the nervous system and their interaction with one another.
The most and common chiropractic procedure performed by Drs. of Chiropractic is known as “Spinal manipulation” or “Chiropractic adjustment”. The purpose of the chiropractic manipulation is to increase and restore normal joint mobility by applying a manual controlled force into the joints that have lost to a various degree their mobility.
The effect of chiropractic adjustment or manipulation of the involved joints or soft tissue is to simultaneously restore mobility, reduce pain, decrease inflammation, muscle spasm and nerve irritation therefore allowing these tissues and joints to heal properly.
It is on rare occasion that chiropractic adjustments will result in any discomfort. However some patients may at times mainly following their initial visit experience mild to moderate soreness or discomfort in the area. Fortunately these occasional side effects will disappear in the following 24 to 48 hours and usually will not reoccur.
Tips to prevent back/neck pain:
1- Maintain a healthy diet and weight.
2- Participate in regular physical activities.
3- Warm up and stretch prior to performing any physical activity.
4- Maintain a proper posture and make sure your work station is ergonomically correct.

7- Pick a good quality mattress of medium firmness and uniform support.
